On April 1, SPP’s RTO Expansion (RTOE) will go live, extending SPP’s footprint into the Western Interconnection. Seven Western entities will join under the existing SPP tariff, making SPP the first RTO in the U.S. to operate across both the Eastern and Western Interconnections.
