Best Practices for Model Data Management and Reporting
May 20, 2026 | 1:00 p.m. ET
Properly managing data assumptions in resource planning models is essential for producing accurate, reliable results.
Just as important is the ability to interpret those results, identifying key drivers and clearly communicating how future electricity needs will be met.
In this webinar, Norm Richardson, VP of Modeling at Yes Energy, will share best practices for structuring, managing, and analyzing planning assumptions.
Attendees will learn:
-
Best practices for developing and managing data assumptions in resource planning models
-
Techniques for analyzing model outputs to identify key cost and reliability drivers
-
How to translate complex modeling results into clear, compelling narratives
-
Lessons learned from DTE Energy’s IRP planning process
Drawing on real-world experience, including DTE Energy’s IRP planning process, this session will highlight practical approaches to improving both model integrity and storytelling.
