The Senior Sales Manager represents Yes Energy in the direct sales of Power Trading tools to the nodal energy market.  The position calls on market participants in the North American Power industry. This is an enterprise sales position responsible for growing revenue in the territory by developing relationships with customers and aligning products and services to customers needs.  Sales Managers are responsible for Customer acquisition activities (including prospecting, RFP process, etc.). They will work with Product Management, Outreach and Customer Support teams to provide ongoing customer support, product upgrades, and renewals to drive the growth of the business. Sales Managers are masters of building and maintaining strong relationships that result in both the addition of new customers, the sale of new products, and existing user upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Meet goals using your technical expertise and consultative sales skills

  • Build lasting relationships with new customers

  • Expand relationships with existing customers

  • Manage Yes Energy’s sales process using Salesforce.com to move opportunities from “prospect” to “close”

  • Become an expert in presenting the value of Yes Energy’s Product Suite including demonstrating the product and answering specific customer questions

  • Identify sales prospects and understand business drivers through a thorough understanding of the nodal energy market

  • Serve as an advocate for the customer by providing input and feedback to Yes Energy’s operations and development groups

  • Provide feedback and support for Yes Energy marketing initiatives including events, webinars, product launches, email marketing and customer support feedback

  • Participate in and maximize team effectiveness to support the on-going customer relationship cycle from prospect through acquisition and renewal

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of direct B-to-B experience selling high-value services and/or software in nodal energy markets or a closely related industry

  • Sales experience with the following customer types: Traders, Asset Managers, Hedge Fund Managers, Energy Traders, Analysts, Risk Managers, and/or other closely related energy market participants

  • Proven ability to present to Senior Management at prospect companies and close complex deals

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; MBA or related Master’s Degree a plus

  • History of exceeding customer’s expectations while maintaining integrity and representing company values

  • Proficiency in software applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and Salesforce.com (or comparable CRM application)

  • 25% -- 50% travel
